Lake State His House
I had actually prayed for a Christian place to go and worship God, and hopefully make some friends, as well. I was branching out on my own-- 7 hours from home and no one I knew and no going back-- and yet very soon after I asked God, I was walking by the library one evening, and the back door was open and I heard the same Christian songs I had sang along with in a youth group I went to once, so I ventured in, and I was just going to hang around outside and listen to what it was all about, when I walked right into Emily, and she introduced herself, and one of the first things she told me was that she had to introduce me to a friend, the beloved Amanda! And you didn't say anything goofy that I remember, but I practically have alztimers, so who knows. But I think we hugged-- isn't that funny? I didn't think you thought too much of me, but I was a little overwhelmed by how many people were there-- but not at all by the atmosphere, it was a lot like the youth group I once went to, and the people just as wonderful!
But what I remember the most is how Emily said that she felt God was telling her to go out in the hall, just in case anyone came by-- I would never have gone in if she hadn't introduced herself. If you are reading this, thanks Emily! :)
Emma-- I am sorry, I don't remember meating you, but I remember always having the same thought of you as I do today-- that girl has a lot of character and I like her!
